I'd like to thank you for visiting our site and taking the time to learn more about the vision, purpose, and heart of T.E.A.M. Live.   Here's to helping others Treat Everyday As Meaningful.

April Hatfield, native of Norfolk, Virginia is a fiscal assistant by choice, and a wounded healer by call. The 37 year old mother of three started T. E. A. M. Live in 2016 with a passion for suicide prevention and breaking the stigma of mental illness. Being a survivor of suicide loss, and having had several loved ones touched by mental illness, it is April's mission to ensure that as many that want to be educated have the tools, and resources to be able to assist or intervene in a crisis situation. April is a certified Mental Health First Aid trainer, with certification in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).  She participated in the Mentally Healthy Norfolk initiative in October 2017, giving a Talk Saves Live presentation at Slover Library, as well as a host of speaking engagements representing mental health awareness in her faith community. She currently sits on the Pastoral Care committee of her local church and is working with their mental health awareness initiative. April has partnered with several local suicide prevention programs in the area and actively participates in the Morning of Hope Walk yearly. As someone who has lived with depression for the better part of 20 years, and PTSD and anxiety for the last 3, April's fervor for preventing suicide and social stigmas surrounding mental illness is both personal and ordained.  When the slight moments of downtime are available, she finds time for the simple pleasures of good people, good times, and a really good cupcake!
